A Moment in Time

To mark the centenary of WW1, Bamburgh Heritage Trust, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, researched the impact of war on the village. This research has culminated in an exhibition, the leaflet attached below and the creation of Mr Little's Diary. Mr Little was the Schoolmaster of Bamburgh school during WW1. Although the diary is a work of fiction the facts are all true and taken from reports in the local newspapers at the time.

Copies of the diary and leaflet are now available from local shops, The Market Gardens and Wyndenwell.

We would love to hear from you if you have any tales from relatives who may have known some of the 'lads' mentioned
